Plain-language house rules for reading, linking, quoting, and treating the temple's records.
The purpose of the site
1984.church is offered as a reading, devotional, and research-oriented temple. Its pages may contain Scripture, historical witness, constructed nomenclature, commentary, artifacts, and records whose status is stated on the page. Nothing on the site is a substitute for medical, legal, financial, psychological, or emergency advice.
These are house rules in plain language. They do not name a jurisdiction or a legal entity and are not a substitute for local law.
Reading and quotation
The ordinary reading flow is available without JavaScript. Hidden effects, generated navigation, and room-specific enhancements are additions; they do not replace the underlying words. A quotation should preserve its source, context, and uncertainty. A link is an offer to read further, not an endorsement of every statement at the destination.
Unless a page states otherwise, quotations and historical witnesses remain attributable to their sources, while the temple's own arrangement, annotations, constructed names, and page design remain part of the 1984.church record.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, interfere with another reader's access, attempt to extract private information, or submit malicious code. Do not present a page's constructed or companion material as an ancient source when the page says otherwise.
The Unwatched Room, the Source's room, and the maintenance artifacts have their own boundaries. Do not infer that an unlisted or unadvertised page is open for collection merely because it can be reached.
Contributions
There is no public comment, submission, or contribution system at present. A future contribution route should arrive with its own privacy, licensing, moderation, and retention rules before it accepts material.
Changes, warranty, and contact
The temple may add, correct, move, or withdraw pages as the record changes. These house rules are provided without a warranty of completeness, fitness, or uninterrupted availability. No public contact channel is designated at present; this page is the public statement of the temple's present posture.
